EDT Raises $2.4 Million in Pre-Series A Round Led by Sauce, Launches SUKI to Enter Beauty-Tech

EDT Co-founder CEO Naiyya Saggi

Mumbai: EDT, the new-age design and technology brand, has raised $2.4 million in an oversubscribed Pre-Series A funding round led by existing investor Sauce and existing angels.

The funding comes as EDT expands beyond kitchen appliances into beauty-tech and personal care with the launch of SUKI.

The round also saw participation from new investors and investors including Alteria Capital, Raul Rai of Nicobar, Shibam Das and Arindam Paul of Atomberg, Ajith Pai of Delhivery, and Anushree Tainwala of Samsonite.

EDT plans to deploy the fresh capital towards building inventory ahead of the festive season across channels, launching new products, and strengthening its growth, supply chain, brand and product teams.

The fundraise marks the next phase for EDT as it works to build a broader consumer design and technology platform spanning home, kitchen and beauty-tech.

Building Momentum Within Seven Months of Launch

Within seven months of its launch, EDT has emerged as one of India’s fastest-growing premium new-age device brands.

LUMA, EDT’s 100% non-toxic PureGlass Air Fryer Oven, is the top-selling premium non-toxic air fryer in the market. FLOW has reimagined the everyday kettle as a precision device for hydration, wellness and beverages.

EDT’s products are available through Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, Croma and FoodStories, alongside its own D2C platform.

Amazon has emerged as a key growth engine for EDT, with the business scaling nearly seven times between March and July 2026. EDT was also the first and youngest brand in its category to be onboarded by Croma.

Intelligent Care Philosophy

At the centre of EDT’s platform is its Intelligent Care philosophy, which focuses on using technology, design, materials and engineering to create products that care for consumers and the way they live.

According to EDT, intelligence is not about adding more features to a device, but about how design and technology are developed to deliver outcomes through a lens of care.

LUMA’s materials and NutriRetain Tech are engineered to safely unlock more nutrition, while FLOW’s Cl-arity Tech is designed to make water purer and beverages more flavourful to amplify hydration.

These outcomes are achieved through a platform of proprietary programming that senses and adapts to consumers, alongside choices in design and materials. EDT said this approach ensures that its philosophy is not defined by any single appliance.

With SUKI, EDT is extending its Intelligent Care approach from the kitchen to personal care. In beauty, the philosophy takes the form of Intelligent Beauty.

The company said learnings from the technology and design platform it developed around sensing and adapting for care are now being extended to hair care, beginning with the everyday ritual of drying.

EDT said it is building for a new generation of discerning consumers who are increasingly conscious of what they bring into their homes and put on their bodies.

According to the company, these consumers value thoughtful design, transparency, better materials and longevity over short-term fixes.

Many consumers have also co-created products with EDT’s design and engineering teams and become advocates for the brand. EDT said its combination of product innovation, considered design, honest claims and an active community has helped establish its position in the new-age consumer appliance market and earned it industry awards for its design-led approach.

Speaking on the fundraise, Naiyya Saggi, Co-founder & CEO, EDT, said: “We started EDT with a simple conviction: everyday consumer appliances must be reimagined for the realities of a modern premium consumer. Our platform of Intelligent Care, uses intelligence thoughtfully, from the design, the technology and programming, to the materials chosen, to the way a product ultimately has proven outcomes of care for our consumer.

The response to LUMA and FLOW has been extraordinary. This fundraise helps take that philosophy into new categories. SUKI is the first device in our next step to bringing Intelligent Care into beauty and build our Intelligent Beauty portfolio with our patent pending algorithms clinically tested to transform hair over time.”

Manu Chandra, Founder & Managing Partner, Sauce, said: “EDT has demonstrated one of the strongest new-age brand trajectories I have seen in recent times, with healthy business fundamentals, strong consumer traction and an exceptional level of customer trust and love.

What particularly stood out to us was the community the brand has built around its products and its ability to turn product-led innovation into genuine consumer advocacy. We doubled down because we believe EDT has the opportunity to build far beyond individual appliance categories and create a broader consumer design & technology platform spanning the home, kitchen and personal care for the modern consumer.”

EDT Enters Beauty-Tech With SUKI

SUKI is EDT’s first beauty-tech device and the first product in its Intelligent Beauty portfolio.

EDT said hair dryers have traditionally focused on speed, power and styling, requiring consumers to compromise on hair damage while drying.

The company also noted that premium hair-tech in India continues to be dominated by products developed for other markets and hair types.

As consumers increasingly approach beauty through health, prevention and longevity, EDT said it sees an opportunity to reimagine hair drying around care, engineered for the hair realities of Indian consumers.

SUKI is positioned as the first-ever Care-Dryer, built on the patent-pending CareDry™ Algorithm. The algorithm runs a proprietary Intelligent Care cycle combining a patent-pending in-house precise heat and airflow cycle with plasma ions.

According to EDT, the technology is clinically tested to amplify hair strength and integrity by 110% over multiple uses, while significantly reducing static, breakage and frizz compared with a fixed-heat hair dryer.

SUKI’s dual AirSense sensors read hair and airflow conditions 100 times a second. The sensors automatically calibrate heat to keep the temperature within a hair-safe window at every setting while maintaining fast drying.

EDT said the premise behind SUKI is that the daily ritual of drying hair should care for hair rather than damage it. The company said the device addresses the pain point of uncalibrated heat damage and is clinically tested and proven to transform hair health over time.

SUKI Features and Launch Details

SUKI comes with a magnetic concentrator nozzle, a magnetic diffuser, the GripSense feature and a full LED display featuring the AirSense Living Colour Ring.

The device launches in the Space Neon colourway at a limited-time pre-order price of ₹8,499.

SUKI will initially be available through EDT’s D2C platform, followed by marketplace and retail distribution this winter.

Next Growth Phase

EDT has three more product launches in the pipeline across home, kitchen and beauty-tech.

The company’s next phase of growth will focus on research and development, product expansion, strategic omnichannel distribution, community building and select team expansion.

With the latest funding round and the launch of SUKI, the company is expanding its design and technology platform from kitchen and home appliances into beauty-tech and personal care.
